Personal Pursuits:
(such as: sports/recreation, volunteer work,
hobbies, crafts, family activities, special accomplishments) |
Last year I finished my studies to become an
interpreter. So, I am happy to have that completed and to be able to move
on to new things. I enjoy camping with friends and family, traveling
(never enough time for that), genealogy, cross-stitch, photography,
gardening, and home improvement projects.

Music Background:
(such as: your start, experience, education,
mentor, inspiration, interesting or humorous personal story,
accomplishments) |
I have been lucky enough to play flute continuously
since I was in the 4th grade. I played through high school
then college at the University of Vermont. When we moved to New York, we
were able to connect with this group and have been here ever since.

What you most enjoy, or find especially
fulfilling, about being a part of Community Band: |
I enjoy the social atmosphere as well as the
challenge of playing good music. It’s great to be around a group of
people who enjoy music so much. |
|
Of the music we play, is there a type or piece
that is your favorite: |
I like a variety of music. I enjoy playing something
that challenges me. It’s satisfying when it finally all comes together
and I can feel a sense of accomplishment. |
