Started in choir when I was four. My grandmother
gave me piano lessons in the third grade, and I continued on with them
almost until college. She also gave me a love for the French Horn. I
still have her three piston valve F Horn. In High School, I played in
five bands Concert (F Horn), Marching (F Trumpet), Pep (Saxophone), Jazz
1 (Trombone), and Jazz 2 (Piano). Also, I was in the Toledo Youth
Orchestra and All Ohio State Fair Band. I earned my Bachelors in Music
Ed.

What you most enjoy, or find especially
fulfilling, about being a part of Community Band: |
Its so good to be playing regularly again! I love
the challenging pieces, as well as getting to know some terrific
musicians. |
|
Of the music we play, is there a type or piece
that is your favorite: |
I love the big, bombastic, intensely brass pieces.
Of course, anything with lots of quartal chords or mutli-tonal is cool
too. |
