Music Background:
(such as: your start, experience, education,

Have played clarinet, baritone/tenor sax and now bass
clarinet since the 5th grade.
Had the privilege to have as my first instructor
Valentine Anzalone (author of the Breeze Easy Method) and a truly
inspirational band leader. I’ll never forget the time I “accidently” broke
my old ebonite clarinet over my knee in high school during warm up just
before I was to play my first major solo performance with the band (as a
sophomore). He proceeded to find a new Buffet clarinet that was unused by
another student who was sick that night. All was saved and the rest is
history. I just had to have a Buffet to replace my “broken” horn after
that.

Officers Club and many State and County fairs.

What you most enjoy, or find especially
fulfilling, about being a part of Community Band: |
The exceptional music leadership of Lindsey Borden
and the deep talent of the band. It is a unique combination of skills and
a part of the community culture of Honeoye Falls. |
|
Of the music we play, is there a type or piece
that is your favorite: |
I love the variety and usually get just enough Sousa
during the summer to satisfy any urge to march. |
